Biography: Four-year starter awarded all-conference honors after his sophomore and senior seasons.
Positives: Hardworking, tough center with a good feel for the position. Blocks with good lean, displays terrific awareness and plays hard until the whistle blows. Quickly gets into blocks, fights with his hands and keeps his feet moving throughout the action. Explosive at the point. Adjusts or redirects to linebackers blocking in motion. Intelligent lineman who keeps his head on a swivel and works well with teammates. Solid position blocker who stays square and rides defenders from their angle of attack.
Negatives: Lacks a dominant base, gets pushed off the line by larger opponents and struggles handling wide-bodied defensive tackles. Must improve his blocking balance.
Analysis: Jones was competitive and productive on the college field and offers starting potential at the next level in a zone blocking scheme.
